What is Business Number and why do you need it?
The Business Number is issued by the Canada Revenue Agency. It is federal tax number. The Business Number consists of Good and Services Tax/Harmonized Sales Tax (GST/HST) number, Payroll Number, Import/Export Number, and Corporate Income Tax Number. Basically, if your annual revenue exceeds $30,000, you need to register for Business Number.
